Community Involvement

At St. Luke Catholic School, we believe in the development of community relations with our school community. Our facility, houses a before and after school program for the Lindsey Weld Child Care Centre and we recognize and support the importance of this organization. Links have also been established with St. Joseph - Scollard Hall, our secondary school affiliate, by encouraging students from the high school to assist in the training of our sports teams and in working with individual and groups of students through the high school's co-operative education program. It is hoped that through the talents and enthusiasm of selected high-school students who become actively involved in our school, that the academic and athletic growth of our students will be encouraged and that an awareness of Catholic secondary education will develop. Our doors have also been open to several community clubs and agencies that request the use of our facilities.

We proudly participate with Nipissing University and Canadore College in sharing our expertise with their education students to help develop competent educators for the future.

The North Bay Police Department is actively involved in the social education of our students. A school liaison officer is also available to make special presentations to individual classes.
